It’s folk that resembles everything else: Bringing challenging originals, entertaining stories and incredible energy, this award-winning new duo pack emotional punches – but have songs to heal the scars.

Comprised only of a foot-stomping Kiwi girl and a Riverina country boy, We Mavericks create music that is more than the sum of it’s parts. Lindsay Martin’s masterful strings and vocal’s meet Victoria Vigenser’s magnificent voice, with driving rhythms and a connection you have to hear to believe.

Their trademark tightness and strangely gritty, evocative performances have seen them on a steep and fast rise to festivals and shows in both home countries; Nominated “Best Folk Artist 2020” in the Aotearoa (NZ) Music Awards and recipients of the 2020 Troubadour Foundation Award, We Mavericks’ organic blend of pop-folk has echoes of soulful Americana and Celtic roots amongst the harmonies.

Often compared to duos from the likes of Americana legends Welch and Rawlings, to AU indie stars Angus and Julia Stone, they bring their 2021 debut album with a raft of captivating originals, all in the sort of show that’s sure to leave your tank topped up.

But even before today’s award winning duo we have another duo, Dave O’ Neill & Jo Cresswell, who will stir your Irish leaning pulse up a notch or three.

Dave is widely acclaimed as one of Australia’s finest multi-instrumentalists and Jo, well she has a national reputation as a
concertina player and interpreter of Irish music. Together they create a musical experience which captures the passion,
poetry and power of the Celtic tradition.

A gig not to be missed.
