27th April to 2nd May 2020
Painting Tour of Broken Hill
with Margaret Hadfield
Start the journey
We are now interested in taking bookings for this tour of Broken Hill and Surrounds – the first step is to look at the likely costs for accommodation and flights and bus tours, etc, and more importantly – the level of interest in participating.
We have done some initial research and initial estimates for the trip are starting to look very affordable and exciting.
1 day to explore the city
Please think about whether this is for you and contact me ASAP.
We are not a tour company, but we can organise a group tour and, by organising group bookings, we can achieve more affordable and better prices.
These initial estimates are based on a group of 10 people to make it viable and to make it a fun trip.
(Of course, there’s potential for better prices if more than 10 people sign-up.)
The timing of the tour is just after the Easter break, a perfect time weather-wise to visit Broken Hill.
However, there is an Agricultural event on the 1st and 2nd of May – if accommodation becomes difficult to find, the tour might have to be postponed by a week.
NB: This tour is also open to partners and friends
April to 2nd May
(arrive Monday, tour Tues/Wed/Thu/Fri then home Saturday)
2 days organised bus tours of:
– the full cooks tour, including stopping to draw and paint wherever we want.
(Optional) 1 day to visit the MUTAWINTJI NATIONAL PARK. This is the most amazing place that has significant and historic indigenous artwork and as well as natural beauty with extraordinary rocky waterholes. I am hoping that this can work into the program and I assure you will be the highlight of the trip. Please look up on google. If you don’t want to include it in the trip … we can think about alternative arrangements…but it really is special – but its
isolated and needs 4WD.
( I visited this place at 18 and it left a lasting impression on me.)
